ESD 3 - ESD Measurement

SEMINAR GOALS

Participants learn normative and practicable electrostatic measurement techniques in our practically equipped seminar rooms. All necessary measurement tasks for protective materials and EPA equipment are carried out in pairs in measurement exercises. Through intensive supervision, measurement errors and problems are immediately recognized and corrected. A final evaluation of the measurement results provides proof of the knowledge acquired, which is confirmed by the ESD measurement technology certificate.

TARGET GROUP

Persons who are employed or designated as ESD officers/coordinators or ESD helpers within the company or who wish to update or complete their knowledge. Advanced seminar for employees who wish to qualify as specialists through the advanced seminars. This includes specialists and managers from the areas of production, quality assurance, development, work preparation and purchasing, as well as manufacturers and suppliers of ESD protection components.

Comprehensive color course folder. State-of-the-art measuring and testing technology in accordance with the IEC DIN EN 61340-x-y series of standards. Prepared measurement sheets for the exercises.

Attendance of the basic seminar ESD 1 or corresponding previous knowledge and experience.

  Information and references between the various standards Physical principles and relationships between the physical measured variables
• Measuring devices for ESD applications
  Resistance meters, charge and discharge meters, electric field meters Measuring devices for indoor climate, testing devices for personal equipment, calibration
• Surfaces and leakage resistance
• Electrodes and measuring voltage according to IEC DIN EN 61340, including structure and application of the various electrodes Measuring conditions, measuring errors and measuring protocol
