Care guide for ESD workwear

Care guide for ESD workwear 17.7.2024

Washing cycles:
With our ESD workwear, we not only focus on protection and comfort, but also on sustainability. By using carefully selected materials, our clothing is not only airy and odor-repellent, but also environmentally friendly. Our materials allow good air circulation, which is particularly important in dynamic working environments. They also offer effective protection against unpleasant odors.

We believe that washing less and wearing more not only prolongs the life of your clothes, but also protects the environment.

So remember: look after your ESD clothing sustainably and enjoy the benefits of quality and environmental awareness in one.

Products:
Please note that it is important not to use fabric softener when washing your ESD workwear. Fabric softener can impair the antistatic properties of the clothing and thus reduce its protective effect. Instead, we recommend using mild detergents to maintain the quality and performance of your clothing.

Not using fabric softener is also a positive step for the environment. Fabric softener often contains chemical ingredients that can not only pollute the water, but are also difficult to break down. By not using fabric softener, you are actively helping to protect the environment and promote a more sustainable use of resources.

Dry clothes in the air:
ESD workwear should not be tumble dried in order to preserve the antistatic properties of the clothing. High temperatures and mechanical stress in the dryer can damage the sensitive fibers and thus impair the protective effect.

Instead, we recommend allowing the clothing to air dry. In this way, the quality and effectiveness of your ESD workwear is optimally maintained.

Wash carefully:
Always pay attention to the care labels on the inside of your ESD workwear. We recommend washing your clothing at low temperatures (KETEX knitted fabric up to 30°C) to preserve the properties of the materials.

Fill your washing machine completely to avoid wasting water and energy. Be careful not to overfill the machine as this can cause friction and lead to insufficient cleaning or damage to the ESD garments.

By following these simple steps, you not only contribute to the longevity of your clothing, but also to maintaining its properties for working in the ESD protection zone.
